The location was fabulous, I really felt that I was inside the fort, not looking at it from afar. There are many places to stay around Jaisalmer but only 16 or so small hotels and guest houses inside the fort. I was lucky chose what I think is the best of them. I came in May, and even the locals were complaining that it was too hot (which of course it was). But the heat was dry which made it bearable, and there were refreshing breezes from the rooftop of the guest house in the mornings and evenings. Inside the fort the maze of small lanes reminded me of San Gimignano or one of those medieval hilltop towns. It was 'zero season' so almost no western tourists around. I walked along a path inside the perimeter wall and saw the boulders which were still on the parapets to drop on intruders. But I felt most welcome, mainly due to the proprietor of the guest house who organised my berth in a sleeper train to Jaipur at the end of my stay. It's a 13 hour journey but the airport is closed in low season. He also arranged a trip into the desert to see a half-forgotten temple complex at Kiradu dedicated to Surya the sun god. The whole thing was a magical experience which I highly recommend.

The host Dushyant was extremely warm, hospitable and helpful. In fact he organised my Sand Dune camping trip too right from the transport, safaris, boarding lodging etc.. The location is fantastic right in the heart of the Fort area . Dushyant also arranged for a very good guide named Saawan who explained the history of all the temples and monuments in detail. I had a beautiful room which extended to the terrace with a spectacular view of the Golden City. It was my first Solo trip which I will always cherish. I thank Dushyant and his team for making my trip a memorable one. Highly recommend this Haveli. I thank Booking.com too for having this property on their platform. Dushyant personally takes care of each and every guest. Infact he had organised my pick up from the airport till my drop off on the day of departure.. I felt at home being here.

It was a privilege to be able to stay in such a marvellous property. The Haveli, exquisitely maintained over the centuries, has retained a real sense of old-world charm. While the building itself feels ancient, the addition of modern amenities (private bathroom, air conditioning etc.) means you’ll be more than comfortable during your stay here. The room was clean, spacious and quiet with breathtaking views from the golden fort. The upstairs rooftop (additionally a restaurant) was also a fantastic spot to relax. The staff were all very well mannered and considerate. Dushyant left us something truly remarkable with this Haveli. We felt welcome here. We felt at home. Thank you Dushyant. Thank you Vimal, and everyone who contributed to making this an incredible experience.

Amazing stay in an old haveli within Fort Jaisalmer. It was our last night of 6 weeks travelling through India and it was amazing to stay in an authentic place like this as a final experience. Beautiful spacious room, very comfortable bed, hot shower, great view from the window. We wanted to do an Indian cooking class on our last night and we contacted the accommodation beforehand if they could advice us, and they arranged everything: we had the best authentic cooking class by a local family, a wonderful memory and we learned a lot. They also arranged a very affordable tuktuk ride to the airport at the last minute. All in all, great and memorable stay!

Excellent service and staff - Ashish (the owner) arranged for Tajmohmmed and Abdul (the staff) to meet us at the bus stop as we arrived late at night so they could assist us with finding the place - such a gorgeous gesture given we were unfamiliar with Jaiselmer and another thing we didn’t have to worry about. The staff were so responsive during our stay, always helped us with whatever we needed and helped book a jeep safari when we arrived. The food was delicious and the room was clean, and the view was amazing! My favourite place in Rajasthan! Thank you so much to Ashish, Tajmohmmed and Abdul! 100% recommend and we will be back!
